Drabble: 21. "Ugh, why is there an oncean in between!"

“How’s Brazil?”
“It’s beautiful! I don’t think I’ve been in a place like this before! There is just so much to see!”
Aiba smiled by the fascination he could perceive in the other’s eyes through their video call.
“I’m glad you’re liking it.”
“It’s seriously amazing! I wish you could see it!”
Sho’s last words made Masaki’s smile slightly fade.
“Yeah… me too…”
“There is so much I would love to show you.”
“Un…”
Sho did not took notice of his words until after he perceived Masaki’s low tone.
“Masaki… I didn’t mean to- “
“It’s all right, Sho-chan!” Aiba smiled again for him, hiding it all behind that mask he so skillfully knew how to wear. “It couldn’t be helped, since we both have to work.”
Sho looked at the other through the camera with much pain. “I’m sorry.”
Masaki shook his head. “It’s okay!” he assured him when it certainly wasn’t. “I wanted to see you right now… because I missed you.”
Sho couldn’t help the grin that grew in his lips. “I missed you too.”
“I wish I could hold you right now.” The younger said with a feeling of nostalgia. “I want to be close to you, Sho-chan.”
“Me too…” Sakurai played along. “I miss touching you at night… finding you right next to me in the bed. I miss your scent too.”
“At least I have yours with me.” Masaki looked behind him to the header of the bed. “Your pillow still smells like you.”
Sho chuckled. “I wish I would have brought something of yours with me.”
“You have the ring, right?” Aiba asked.
Sho looked down to his hand, finding the golden ring in his ring finger. “Yeah… I do.” Sho smiled heartedly.
“Sho-chan…” Masaki called for his lover attention. “When are you coming back?” he asked looking anywhere but at the camera.
“Two days, why?” Sho’s brows furrowed noticing the worry in Masaki’s eyes.
“It’s just…” Masaki stumbled on his words, his hand fidgeting with the end of his shirt. “I miss… how you feel.” Even through their low-quality video chat, Sho could make out Masaki’s cheeks burning, and he had no doubt the latter would notice his as well.
Sho chuckled at Masaki’s nervousness. “I miss how you feel too, my Masaki baby.”
When Masaki found the courage to face the camera and look at Sho, he found the other’s eyes smiling fondly at him, making him chuckle inevitable by the beauty in them.
“Ugh, why is there an ocean in between!” Sho exclaimed, letting his back fall against the bed’s mattress. “We could be having sex right now…”
“Who said we couldn’t?” Masaki said suddenly letting the thought escape from his lips.
Sho’s eyes widen, leaning on his elbows to look at his laptop screen. “Really?”
Masaki wet his lips as he gulped harshly. “I mean… why not?”
For several seconds, Sho didn’t say a word, his sight still fixed on his laptop screen as if calculating something. Quickly he straightened himself from his previous position in the mattress before getting out of the bed and pacing several times by the corner of Masaki’s screen. “I’ll go get the lube.”
