The elevator made an abrupt stop by the twentieth floor, shaking the passengers that remained inside as the lights flickered before it came into a complete halt. Sho had reacted immediately by gripping the closest thing to him, this being Aiba’s arm. The two men froze as the lights of the elevator died out and its movement had ceased completely.

“What was that?” Aiba dared ask what Sho was too afraid to answer. Aiba came up to the control panel, pressing the lobby floor repeatedly but it didn’t work. “Oh no…” His fingers rammed into the buttons, trying to open the doors, or choosing the floor nearest to them. “No!”

Sho watched him sink at the back of the elevator, his hands gripping tightly on to the handles on the walls.

“It’s stuck!” Aiba sighed, his hands falling to a side when he felt his pockets. His phone! He could call someone and they could be saved. He searched in his pockets for his phone while Sho could only watch on, paralyzed against the wall. “Damn it!” Aiba grunted. “I left my phone… Do you have yours?” he asked Sho, whose sight was fixed on the floor.

“Sho-chan!” Aiba made his partner snap back and focus on the situation at hand. “Do you have your phone?”

“Oh, Y-Yeah…” he searched in his pocket and took out his phone to hand it to Aiba, the latter slightly noticing his shaking hands.

Aiba decided to ignore it and just took the phone before he noticed it didn’t turn on.

“It’s dead! You didn’t charge it!?” Said Aiba in disbelief.

“Ah… I forgot…” Said Sho, his voice inevitably shaking.

“Sho-chan, are you okay?” Aiba asked noticing the sweat dripping down Sho’s forehead.

The latter gulped. “We’re pretty high up aren’t we…?”

“Wait… this isn’t about your acrophobia, right?”

Sho shut his eyes with the reminder, his teeth clenching with the thought of emptiness below their feet.

“Oh no! Sho-chan it’s okay! We’re going to be just fine! It’s probably just an electric issue, nothing to do with the cables.”

“That really doesn’t help…” Said Sho, his breathing becoming heavier. “Isn’t it getting… hot in here?”

“Sho-chan… calm down.” Aiba soothed him. The air inside the elevator was fine but seeing the other hyperventilate told him it was not the same for him. He had to do something for him or else…

Aiba sight was immediately drawn upwards, finding the clear outline of a shaft just above their heads. But it was still too high for him to reach and open.

“Sho, I’m going to need your help.”

“What…?”

“I need you to spread your legs.”

“WHAT!?”

“Just… ugh!” without explaining, Aiba quickly got behind Sho before the latter could stop him, bending down, and poking his head through Sho’s legs, lifting the other’s weight on his shoulders skillfully.

“M-Masaki! No! Put me down!” Sho squirmed, his fingers pulling on Aiba’s hair.

“Stop moving! I need you to open the shaft!”

“N-No!”

“You want us to suffocate in here?” Aiba’s head leaned back, trying to find Sho’s eyes above him. Sho froze in Aiba’s eyes when the latter’s head brushed against a certain sensitive and dangerously low area, substituting his sudden panic with the drumming in his heart.

“Sho-chan… A-Are you blushing?”

Sho’s eyes widened. If his reddened cheeks hadn’t been obvious enough to Aiba, they would be now.

“Just… open the shaft, you’re getting heavy.” Aiba looked away, hopefully hiding the redness of his own cheeks.

Sho did not complain any further and decided to do as Aiba said, pushing the shaft in the ceiling of the elevator, allowing the air to flow inside the small compartment.

Aiba was clutched onto a corner of the elevator, closer to the control panel. His finger would constantly press the first-floor bottom as he tried to budge its movement but nothing seemed to come out of his efforts.  Sho could only stare at him pitifully, sitting by the other end of the elevator, knowing he was not going to give up so easily even if he asked him. That is when, Sho’s sight captured a big and bright bottom in the panel.

Sho stared at it unblinking, reading its inscriptions over and over until his mind could absorb it’s meaning.

“Masaki…”

“Yeah…” Aiba’s finger kept poking on the first-floor bottom.

“Did you try pushing the red one?”

“No, what is it?” Aiba asked.

Sho looked at him, with a fulminating look, although he knew he couldn’t blame him for not being able to read the English inscriptions for “IN CASE OF EMERGENCY PUSH”.

A/N: End! This one got pretty long ^^ My first stuck-in-an-elevator senario and I hope it's not my last! Let me know what you think and as always I appreciate your comments!
